We are taking part in the Yates Giant Pumpkin Challenge this year (after an unsuccessful attempt at the watermelon one last year) and this is our seedling at four days old.
I didn't achieve much today but I did make a bag - I wasn't expecting it to work out so well, and I didn't want to waste good fabric so it is made out of a tiny bit of new fabric and the rest of it including the lining is sheets and pillowcases!
We went to Ned's school concert tonight and his class did their act to 'I've been everywhere man'. Ned was a dory fish in the Great Barrier Reef. This is a sneaky photo taken after the Principal explained that there were no photo's to be taken during performances due to copyright laws!! I got about seven photo's without anyone busting me but these are the two best of the bunch!!
Ned's that blurry little fish right in the middle!
I'm having a stall with Jo at the PCYC markets on Saturday and thought it would be a good chance to get rid of some books, this isn't all of mine and I haven't even started on kids books yet!! I have kept my faves but it is going to be hard to part with the whole Janet Evanovich series (sooo funny!) and my Oprah 20 year anniversary box set of dvd's!!!!!
This is what I have been saving all those pillowcases and sheets for! The back is an bedspread found at the thrift shop and the bias edging is made from a very cool sheet.
All rolled up and ready to go, we went straight down to the beach for a fish and chip dinner!
The scene from my kitchen window. 7pm, the boys are in the fort and Ned is using a power tool !! We should be doing readers, having baths or eating dinner but you can't interrupt male bonding!!
