The Sweetest Sixteen

Jar turned sixteen last month and even though we are gaining a beautiful young woman - I'm still losing my first baby!!  It's exciting watching Jar work out this new part of her life, lot's of freedom but also the responsibilities that come with it.  Talk round here is all about careers, drivers licence and boys!!!

We had very quick celebration at the Harbour, sandflies were so bad that we literally scoffed our dinner and cake and ran out of there!! I don't think Jar minded because she had her friends waiting for her to go to a much 'cooler' party!!

Ned's Birthday

Ned celebrated his 7th birthday with his best friend Riley, there is only a couple of weeks between them so we had a share Star Wars Party.
We held it at the beach in front of our place and it was perfect. Great weather, beautiful beach, fun playground and lots of friends!!

The cake.
Fun on the beach

Pass the Parcel, Jedi style - check out the awesome pool noodle light sabers that Riley's dad made.
Just a couple of pics from Neds actual birthday.

July - Sept catchup...

Well there has been not alot of exciting things doing round here - just boring have to be done jobs and end of fin year stuff, but I have scratched up a few things that have happened;
  • Ned had his school fete....

  • We took Mum down to Brisbane to see French & Saunders, it was an absolute crack up!

Jo found this place that does English high tea - it was so beautiful inside, all girly and pretty!!

Yum !!

  • Unapproved photo of Jar - I not meant to post any info or photos without her approval!!

  • We bought a 1974 Chesney Kampa - it's so cute but needs a fair bit of work so thats another one of our weekend projects !!

  • Ned went on a school excursion to the Botanic Gardens then a Chinese Resturant for lunch - I went too!!

  • Ned lost two teeth - I didn't bother to put a photo on cause he already had the other two teeth ready to fill the gap. Heres a photo of the little tooth pouch I made him though...

Jed

Jed turned 12 in June and is definately starting to slow down. This is the highlight of her day - going out for a bit of a sun bath.....

The Fort

Ned has been wanting a fort for awhile now so Al got the design right in his head and got to work. It looks fantastic, is everything Ned wanted and only cost us $66 for shadecloth and a couple of other little things. The rest is made out of left over fencing materials. We still need some lattice for across the front but we decided to have a fort warming and grand opening anyway............

Going up...
