Day 16 (08.11.09)

This is what I have been saving all those pillowcases and sheets for! The back is an bedspread found at the thrift shop and the bias edging is made from a very cool sheet.

All rolled up and ready to go, we went straight down to the beach for a fish and chip dinner!

The scene from my kitchen window.  7pm, the boys are in the fort and Ned is using a power tool !!  We should be doing readers, having baths or eating dinner but you can't interrupt male bonding!!

I think I used up all my good luck on the lotto - no winners for us today!!

We won $482.25 on saturday night's lotto - unfortunately we had to share it with 10 others in a syndicate!!

Ned demonstrating, ahem, traditional Thai boxing poses and his angry face!!

Jo & Wayne got Ned these Thai Mauy Boxing shorts in Thailand and he has'nt been out of them since she gave them to him last night.

Day 8 (31.10.09)

We went to stay out at Jo's tonight and she cooked this beautiful dinner. 

Chicken curry and all the trimmings - Yum!!  Best of all I got to take some home for lunch.

Day 7 (30.10.09)

High drama day - Jo (my sister) was bitten by a snake today out at her property and was transported to hospital by ambulance!!  After a night in intensive care and some monitoring she is going to be fine.  As you can see her foot is really swollen with two little fang marks.

Day 6 (29.10.09)

I have started to read Ned novels lately and tonight we started 'The Enchanted Wood'. I wasn't sure if he would like it, but seriously who doesn't love Enid Blyton!!!

Day 5 (28.10.09)

I spent 47 mins on the phone with Virgin today, making changes to our flights.

That's 47 minutes of my life I'm not going to get back!!!!

I have been hitting the thrift shops alot lately collecting vintage sheets and pillowcases for some projects I have planned. Some days you find nothing but other days you hit the jackpot!!!

Day 2 (25.10.09)

This was the view from inside my little sun house while lying on the beach today.

And a few other pics from our Sunday.....

I made this bag for Ned before we headed off to the beach today.  It's made out of old flyscreen and exactly what we have needed for him to bring his treasures home in.  Today he collected some shells and feathers and quite a bit of paperbark - best of all the sand falls out the holes :)

And because I was on a roll I made a door stop which I copied from Caro, It turned out pretty rough but not too bad for the first one.

Nanny & Pop have pretty much pulled up most of the vege patch but we got round in time for one last harvest!!

A-Z Ned Style

To distract Ned from his usual cry of "I'm bored" when Al and I try and get some jobs done we quickly painted up this old piece of card and got Ned to paint the alphabet in each box.  He has to find things starting with each letter and put in the relevant box.  I love how he has put the phone put in the 'F' box !!!

Al painted Jarrah's room today, Whisper White with a Silver Illusion feature wall.  I was going to start off the 365 project with a picture of my BAS form because that's what I did while Al painted but it is the last thing I want as the first picture in my challenge!!
