Other bits.....

  •  Riley came for a play and the boys made a 'hot tub' in our sand pile with garbage bags!!
  •  I made a couple of cushions - they are a bit dodgy but not too bad for a first go!
  •  Ned and I made wrapping paper with potato stamps
  • I got this beautiful package from Caro - you know your friends are extremely creative when your mail is decorated!!
  • Jar got the 'Consistent Effort Gold Award' at school for consistent good behaviour and effort!! And she has just started a part time job and she has been doing a two week course in town for a Cert in Business and she has done her Yr 11 exams and finished school for the year - she deserves a holiday after all that !! (pic coming soon!)

Spectacular 2010.

Spectacular time again and Ned's class was fantastic - in my own, non-biased opinion - the best by far!!
It was based on the weather this time and Ned was in the raindrop group!

I sewed what felt like alot of raindrops onto shirts!!
The rain and thunder groups!!
Ned and his mate Flynn - not the best shot of Ned but the only one I have!!

And from the school news letter;
"My mum sprayed everyone's hair blue.  I thought we did an excellent try.  I felt nervous and after I felt excited."  Ned Stronach

Conkers!

We have been steaming ahead with digging, concrete removal and heaps of loads to the dump!!
Al breaking up the last bit

Ned and I emptied Al's ute to start taking loads to the dump and when Ned was dragging this tin over the lid came off and spilt virtually a full tin of ceiling undercoat - hmmm!
and now we are all ready for a sunny day to have it poured!!

Day 365 (24.10.10)

How lucky am I?  I get to finish off this challenge with a visit by our great friend Jane who came up to do a course just around the corner from our place!  There was talk about getting the camera and Jar taking a pic of us but after a couple of bottles of wine it didn't happen!!
It was so good to see ya Jane - we won't leave it so long next time!!

Day 364 (23.09.10)

We went to visit Parker today and he definately made my heart skip a little beat and all those thoughts of 'could we have one more' came rushing back!!  (I say we could - Al says we can't!!!)
Anyway he was even more beautiful in 'real life' and we all enjoyed cuddles and kisses with him.
Me holding Parker

Jar having her little cuddle....

and Ned having his much anticipated hold.  Ned has been so excited for this baby and has said things to us like 'I bags naming it', 'when their baby comes I just want to be a part of it all' and best of all when I told him Karlee had the baby he yelled out 'woo hoo I'm an uncle'.  I love this pic of Riley, Ned and Parker (in case you haven't clued on this is Rileys new baby brother) and I'm imagining there will be a million more of the three of them over the next few years!!

Day 363 (22.10.10)

Operation Xmas Child is my favourite charity to support at Xmas.  It's all about packing a shoe box with the
6 somethings and you are able to track it all the way to it's destination and see where your goodies end up.
Our 6 somethings this year were, something to:
love
(we did a teddy/doll)
take to school
pens, crayons and chalks and notebooks
wear
thongs
play with
tennis ball, puzzles, slinky, skipping rope, spinning top, card game, whistle
clean with
cake of soap, toothbrush and plastic cup
special
fabric envelopes for their school stuff.

Boxes packed and ready to go

and look who's finally going to Africa (or somewhere she will be needed and loved!), she missed the last package to Africa as part of the Amazonia Doll Project but finally has her chance to go!!

Day 362 (21.10.10)

I waited all afternoon for the text message announcing this beautiful little boys arrival and when I heard my phone beep I nearly knocked myself out trying to get it before Jar!!!  It was worth it to see this special, much awaited little boy had made it into the world safely - welcome Parker, we can't wait to meet you!!

Day 361 (20.10.10)

Ned is so proud of his certificate from Anna Bligh!!

Day 360 (19.10.10)

Ned really wanted to build a bird hide today so he could study the birds a bit closer - so we did!
(I didn't say it was a good one!!)
The hunter waiting patiently - he just sat and sat looking up at the trees for any sign of action.
The bait - rigged up to a fishing line so he could lure them closer and closer!
                                                                      The target!
Success!!

Day 359 (18.10.10)

Another job done - I made these fabric envelope things for our Operation Xmas Child boxes today.
More on Operation Xmas Child to come!

Day 358 (17.10.10)

Aww, Ned found me this perfect heart shaped leaf today - he is such a little sweet pea!!

Day 357 (16.10.10)

I whipped up another little set today for Jar's friends baby shower (eep!!) and I tried a pleated ruffle version of the singlet top which turned out super cute!

Day 356 (15.10.10)

I was going to semi dry all those tomatoes and pack them in olive oil and herbs but I ended up roasting them with garlic and capsicum and processing them into a pasta sauce - yum!

Day 355 (14.10.10)

This post was going to be all about how good my organic garden is going and how many bugs and ladybeetles have moved in until I realised that these are bad ladybeetles (27 spot) and most of the bugs are feasting on my plants!!

Day 354 (13.10.10)

I have so many tomato's at the moment with Ned picking about 3 - 4 every day!!

Day 353 (12.10.10)

Jar made this Kiln God at her art class - I love it!!

Day 352 (11.10.10)

It is blowing a gale here at the moment and has been for days.

Day 351 (10.10.10)

I was going through old stuff and found the bottles of bubbles we used for our wedding.
Err not sure what I was thinking but the bride and groom look like something out of 'The night of the living dead'!!!

Day 350 (09.10.10)

Nic, Andy and the boys went home today and like everytime I have to say goodbye I bawled like a baby for most of the morning!!!!

Day 349 (08.10.10)

Us girls got to go and have a nice seafood lunch today without kids!!
I really wanted to cut myself out of this pic but we sisters don't get together very often so I've swallowed my vanity and included it!!!  It might have been a better angle if Jar was standing up when she took it!!
