Day 7 (30.10.09)

High drama day - Jo (my sister) was bitten by a snake today out at her property and was transported to hospital by ambulance!!  After a night in intensive care and some monitoring she is going to be fine.  As you can see her foot is really swollen with two little fang marks.

Ruby Lime Design

My friend Caro makes the most beautiful unique things for her store in Tannum Sands but now she has a online store too!  Click on the Ruby Lime Design icon on the right side of my blog to go straight to her store
or click http://www.rubylimedesign.blogspot.com/ to check out her blog.
Beautiful hand made gifts and a super easy way to Xmas shop is just a mouse click away!!
Below are (ahem) a few photos - I couldn't stop adding more but here's a little taste of what you'll find..............

One of her paintings of the local area

Theres nothing poky about this adorable Poky Little Puppy handbag, covered  inside and out with PVC  - sooo cute and recycled!!

Kokeshi Doll Pendant

Paper pieced collage - loving anything bird at the moment.

Fun baby block

Beautiful satchel bag

Cool reclaimed atlas wallet (I have a Poky Little Puppy one!!)

These softies are cute as!!!  See the darker green one on the left - his name is Ned!!!!

Funky cushions

Day 2 (25.10.09)

This was the view from inside my little sun house while lying on the beach today.

And a few other pics from our Sunday.....

I made this bag for Ned before we headed off to the beach today.  It's made out of old flyscreen and exactly what we have needed for him to bring his treasures home in.  Today he collected some shells and feathers and quite a bit of paperbark - best of all the sand falls out the holes :)

And because I was on a roll I made a door stop which I copied from Caro, It turned out pretty rough but not too bad for the first one.

Vege.

Nanny & Pop have pretty much pulled up most of the vege patch but we got round in time for one last harvest!!

Ned with his harvest - even include purple carrots!

Selecting a good ear

Spuds

And quite alot lately I get to go home with some of these little babies!!!

Licenced to......drive!

Jar went for her licence two weeks after she turned 16 and got it!!!

A-Z Ned Style

To distract Ned from his usual cry of "I'm bored" when Al and I try and get some jobs done we quickly painted up this old piece of card and got Ned to paint the alphabet in each box.  He has to find things starting with each letter and put in the relevant box.  I love how he has put the phone put in the 'F' box !!!

Day 1 (24.10.09)

Al painted Jarrah's room today, Whisper White with a Silver Illusion feature wall.  I was going to start off the 365 project with a picture of my BAS form because that's what I did while Al painted but it is the last thing I want as the first picture in my challenge!!

September School Hols

I was lucky enough to have the whole two weeks off for school holidays and it was just what we all needed.  By the last couple of weeks of the term  I am so over doing readers, lunchboxes, making sure everyone has everything and trying to get out the door by eight every morning!!  It was a much anticipated break and we were all counting down the days this time!!

We went out to Jo and Waynes for a couple of days but apart from that we didn't make any plans and just did whatever we woke up and felt like doing !!

Jo and Ned

Ned & Tottie

Ned was so determined to get a photo of him holding this little quail - the poor thing finally ran out of steam and he got it!!!

One of the walking tracks on Jo & Waynes block

A friend of Jo's!!

Picnic at Seaforth - gee someone could have told me we were having a photo!!

Shame about the DUST STORM !!!

Mini Trains again - an old favourite of ours.

A bit of painting turned into a full blown body art project!!  This was taken about 6pm on the Sunday night before school started back.  I really wanted to say no and not deal with the mess but it took 5mins to set up, 10 mins to clean up and an hour and a half of bliss in between!!

The Sweetest Sixteen

Jar turned sixteen last month and even though we are gaining a beautiful young woman - I'm still losing my first baby!!  It's exciting watching Jar work out this new part of her life, lot's of freedom but also the responsibilities that come with it.  Talk round here is all about careers, drivers licence and boys!!!

Early morning cuddles!

We had very quick celebration at the Harbour, sandflies were so bad that we literally scoffed our dinner and cake and ran out of there!! I don't think Jar minded because she had her friends waiting for her to go to a much 'cooler' party!!

And just because 16 is so special here is a bit of a....
