Introducing Prissy, Pearlie and Peepacheep who joined our family Monday and provided their first eggs on Wednesday - you go girls!!!
Now I'm thinking of keeping some meat chickens - just got to find a butcher first!!!

the whittler
ned used some of his birthday money to buy a swiss army knife.
he wants to do wood carvings and sell them at the market!
ned's ninth
Ned turned nine on the 11th and celebrated with a few other party people!!
No party games or entertainment - a blanket in the sun with a few buckets of lego. They played this for most of the party and finished off with shooting each other for half hour!!
ha,ha - not for the die hard anti food colouring mums!!

Disco
Ned had his school disco and didn't miss the opportunity to go as Captain Jack Sparrow!!!
Jar and I plaited heaps of dreads and with a bit of sewing he was done!

Jarrah's out sleeping on the street and we couldn't be happier!
She was sleeping out to raise awareness for the homeless!!
camping celebration
We went camping to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversay and it was exactly what we wanted to do.
(actually i wanted to go on a cruise with col and sue but ya can't have everything!!!)
Mum, Dad and Jo came down for lunch and afternoon tea one day and the rest of the time was spent flying our kite, walking the beach, searching for crabs or just lazing around.

Al got Ned a quad for a couple of cartons of beers so we headed out to Jo and Waynes to ride in thier paddock. Not a great shot but the only one I took!

I finally made cushions for our couch - it's been along time coming seeing that they have been cut out in my
basket for weeks!
Table runner - it's been waiting for edging for about three months!!
xstitch - about 18 months from start to finish!!
I've still got 1 xstitch, 2 quilts, 1 bag, 1 skirt, 3 curtains and 5 chairs awaiting recovering to go!!!
Seafood Feast
The Taegers came back to Mackay for a few days to end their holiday and one night we feasted on pretty much anything that lives in a shell !!!! Pop went out and caught some mudcrabs and with the help of our great seafood shop we added oysters, sandcrabs and two types of prawn! Yum!!
A beautiful meal finished off with relaxing around the fire - perfect!
