Bubblicious!

Jar & Ned having a bit of fun with the mega bubble blower that they got for Xmas - it's been way to windy here until today to use it.

Schoolie

We went and got Ned's school uniform the other day & he looks just so little!! I nearly cried seeing him all dressed up ready for school.

Xmas Fun.

A great couple of days full of the usual Xmas fun - eating, drinking, playing & lots and lots of laughs. .....
Twas the night before Christmas & all through the house everyone was just hanging out relaxing & waiting for the big day.
Woken at 5.45am by Ned yelling out "It's Twistmas"!!! We are all looking a bit dazed & sleepy and I was very slack at taking photo's of the kids opening presents but Jo got some good ones!
Classic photo of Jarrah getting what she has thought for months was going to be a digital camera but was actually a mobile phone - the LG Chocolate - that she has been dreaming about!!
Got ya Binksy!!!!

A canvas I made Jar to match her new doona set she got - you can sort of make out the doona in the background.

I am such a lucky duck! Al surprised the hell out of me with this Pandora ring (above), & a 'queen bee' charm for my Pandora bracelet! These photos are mainly for Nic cause we are crazy for Pandora!! He also got me a sewing machine that I have wanted for a while - I must have done something good this year!!!

Our feast with heaps of prawns, mangos & fresh sea scallops - YUM!!!

The end of a long day - we finished up playing Jar's new boardgame, drinking Baileys on ice & eating fruitcake!! Can't wait to do it all again next year ( in Adelaide!!).

Lamberts Beach

A few snaps from the beach near us - about a 3 minute walk with nice bbq areas & playground.

Mango Madness

Some of the perks of living in the warm tropical climate of Nth Qld - cheap seafood & mangos!! Got this huge box of bowen's yesterday at the market for $12 - Yum!

Who needs pockets?

Ned has found a nifty way of keeping all his treasures with him at all times - just stuff them in your jocks!! Some days he walks past & we just crack up because he has a full load on board!

This is his usual look - all his puppies in the jocks & his frog round his neck!!

We're Home.

The last box has finally been unpacked & we are in. What a bloody terrible process that was!!
It's a great feeling to be in our own home & it's hard to get used to the fact that if I want to put a hook in or paint it a new colour I can!! Thankfully we really like the colours they have used & even though we will want to change them at some stage the pressure is off Al to have to do it straight away.
We love our new home luckily cause I think we will be here a long time - especially when you put it the way Jarrah does - "Mum you know when you finally pay for this house I will be 44"!!! My response - "Don't say that to Dad'!!!!!
From this............

To this............
Our lovely reclaimed timber dining suite that was a very generous gift from Bill & Barb that we love & really appreciate.
My fave room - bathroom complete with spa!!!
2nd bathroom which is sort of outside - will be great for when we put in a pool.
Kitchen (dishwasher is proudly filling that hole now after dragging it around for 4 years I can finally use it again)

Ned's room that he loves (even though he is yet to spend a night in there!!!) & he says the best bit is the frangipani tree right outside his window cause it's his fave tree.

Unfortunately at time of photography our room & Jarrah's were not suitable for public viewing!!

Cute Craft

I should be packing but hey I can always make time for a bit of creativity!!! I made these adorable little advent calenders out of match boxes glued together. I'm just going to put a little 'surprise' in each drawer for a fun countdown to Xmas. I made one each for my kids & one for my nephew Dylan. Good activity for the kids but of course I didn't let mine near them!! I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff but I did let Ned sit next to me & watch!!!!!

Jarrah

Where's Jarrah?? Not many posts about her at the moment. She is really busy getting all her end of year assignments ready to hand in - nothing like leaving them till the last three weeks to do!!! She is also getting a sick of me taking photos of her so I am going to have to get a bit sneaky I think!!!!!!

Little Green Thumb

Ned is really into growing things at the moment, so we have a few plants & flowers in pots that his Nanny has given him. Here is his first tomato that he picked off & we have had quite a few more since then.

Gentle Hands

Ned is such a gentle, kind hearted little boy. He held this baby bird of Jo's so carefully. He even told me he feels sad for the yabbies we use for fishing!!! Awwwww...........

Ned will take you driving in his car car........

Bugger all the toys we buy our kids - or in our case get from the toy library - all you need is a box, plastic plates & cup cake wrappers!!! Ned has not left this alone for over a week now - hmmm could make Xmas very cheap!!

Jaimi Visits!!!

Jaimi came to visit for a long weekend just at the end of Nic & Andys trip which was great cause we couldn't stay sad for long with her here!! It's been quite a while since they had seen each other and of course they just slipped back into their old comfortable ways instantly. It was lovely laying in bed and hearing them giggling away just like the old days. They went shopping, to the movies, exploring round the city heart, swimming in our neighbours pool (they were away) and doing girly stuff.
The photos below are taken the night I had the great idea to get takeaway & head up to this lookout to see fireworks. We waited for ages for the fireworks and when they finally came on they were really lame!! Jar reckons we had better cracker nights in our backyard in Jabiru!!!

The next day when I loaded these photos up on the computer I couldn't believe how revolting & graffitied it was where we sat and ate our dinner - couldn't tell in the dark!!! Well Jaimi don't say we don't pull out all stops for our visitors!!!

Our mexican night & it's pretty daggy but we printed off bingo cards and played bingo on the TV!!! Was worth it for heaps of laughs though - noooooo bingoooooo (an inhouse joke!!!)
