Ned had an bug lady come to his school and one of the things they got were stick insect eggs - now we are checking every morning to see if we have babies!

Day 219 (30.05.10)
Finally finished this today - Caro's birthday was in March but lucky for me this is a two month anniversay of her birthday present!!!!
It's a special request pencil roll for school (she's the teacher now not the student!) and I'm hoping it has arrived before she sees the blog!!

I love these bright colours together - I even got a few mermaids and little deers and mushrooms in there!!
I made something very similar but with bigger squares to cover a piece of plywood (covered with foam) to make a fabric headboard for our bed. Just got to paint our room (completely white with a coloured ceiling - Al's freaking!!) and I'll get it up.

Jar got up and went to work with Al this morning. She was up dressed and gone by 6.30am without a whine, a lot different to when I wake her at 7.30am weekdays for school!!! Might have had something to do with Al taking her for a hot Macca's brekkie first though!

Ned wants to grow his hair long at the back but short at the front, sounds a bit too much like a mullet to me, so he compromised on this funky soft mohawky style - he looks sooo cute!

Ned and I made a moss terrarium today (we love moss!!) and because we had them we stuck a couple of birds and mushrooms in too!!

I woke up really early and wandered down onto the beach for this beautiful sunrise.

Ned made a couple of mates who were also right into lego so they sat in this beautiful spot under the trees playing for ages. (This is after running around like maniacs and building 'bases' for about four hours!!)

We are camping again and just got set up before dark - it's worth going out after work just to wake up there in the morning!

I went shopping after work today in the 45mins I have before picking Ned up and got really close to the registers and realised I didn't have my wallet, I had no i.d to get money out at the bank so I had to leave it and go back tonight.
I have only been to late night shopping about 3 times and I won't be doing it again!!!

It was one of my workmates birthday's today and while he was at lunch (and thinking we didn't know it was his birthday) I trashed his desk - he's still picking confetti out of his keyboard!!!

Ned has finally lost these two tiny baby teeth - one in the morning and one at night - lucky because he was getting them pulled on Wednesday.

My friend was complaining about the new bridge that we both cross every morning (traffic just crawls along it and it was meant to streamline it!!) but my own personal nightmare are these lights!! They let 3 cars or 1 truck through before turning amber/red again - I usually sit for three light changes before its my turn - not good for someone who is running late every day!!

Day 191 (02.05.10)

Al drove back into Mackay today to play a golf comp (he won!!!) and Ned and I spent the morning exploring for crabs. We weren't disappointed, there are so many different types..............
We also saw a roo eating fresh coconut - not sure how he got it open though!!

Our very basic but comfy camp - probably didn't set it up as well as usual this time, that palm tree was not in a good spot!!

It's just instantly relaxing as soon as we get out here, no phone calls, bills, people wanting quotes etc or best of all noWii !! Ned just spends his whole time climbing, catching things and exploring....

My fave - I love the rainforest walks here, Al's more of a beach guy and i like it but it would be better without all that damn sand!!!!
