Te Kowai wetland walk is just down the road from us and we do it alot.  It's so beautiful and there's never anyone there - in all the times we have gone we have only ever seen one other person - once!!!



easter break crafting.

 we haven't done much this easter - alot more lazing around then I had planned but we have done a few little reno jobs round the house (pics to come) and I have squeezed in some craftiness!

 We grew grass in eggs again this year...

 stuck all our eggs in a vase instead of hanging them from branches - theres just no dry wood around here!

made these bunny peeps - I ended up doing about 7 but they were fun and easy.

The colours are nothing like what they are in this pic.

 screened some shirts for gifts - I have done the lego man one heaps but the birds are new

Ned and I got right into the game 'angry birds' when I first got my iphone and we would spend waay to long snuggled up together trying to kill those pigs!!!



Anyway I tried my hand at making his favourite little blue bird and it turned out very cute though he's not as ticked off looking as I wanted!!

and this is as far as I got with a mini pig!

Our friends and family are junk!

Well not really but that's what my computer thinks!!  I have just found out that there were heaps of emails from people in our junk folder so if I haven't replyed to emails it's probably because it was in there!!

Winners and Losers!

We went out for dinner with Mum, Dad and Jo and look who cleaned up on the night - not us!!  I have won a few meat trays and grocery bags in my time but never cold hard cash!!

All wrapped up in a sewing pattern and bias binding - perfect for a sewer! 

 A little stencil of an antique sewing machine I made her for her sewing area,

and this super cool leather cut out wristband - I loved it so much I bought one for my birthday too!

We have had so, so much rain - it just didn't seem like it was ever going to stop. 

Since January 1490.6mm of rain has fallen over 69 days!!

Anyway we are drying out now and dealing with heaps of mold, slime and moss!!
